About

Alex Magallanes is a Stage Manager primarily based out of New York City and Atlanta, Georgia.

This past season Alex has worked on the developmental workshop of Warriors, Oklahoma! at Pensacola Opera, and The Ballad of Baby Doe at Central City Opera.

Alex fell head over heels for Stage Managing when working as a Production Assistant at "From Broadway with Love: A Benefit Concert for Parkland”. Realizing they'd found a world that combines their love of the performing arts with their organizational flair, they dedicated themselves to making this their career that very night of the performance.

Alex graduated from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Stage Management in 2024, learning how to create theatre in difficult circumstances throughout the pandemic.

In their free time, Alex loves weightlifting, reading, taking their cat Kiwi for walks, and the occasional Nintendo game.
